22 May 2007. Funeral of Mother Mary Magdalene in the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie (San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy). Something very unusual happened: during Holy Mass an unknown nun entered the church. She wore a black religious habit, like the augustinian nuns; she knelt all the time, at the end of the Mass she disappeared and she was seen no more. From the description of witnesses, it looks as if She was Sister Rita Montella of the Holy Spirit, an augustinian nun who died in 1992, and used to accompany souls into Heaven. Mother Mary Magdalene admired her heroical virtues. |
After the serious accident that took place in the seventies and the extraordinary grace granted by Padre Pio, Margareth Mathers (future Mother Mary Magdalene) went back to San Giovanni Rotondo several times together with English pilgrims. On one occasion she saw again Padre Pio, as solid as living flesh, standing in front of this Confessional. She used to tell everyone that he urged her to be "obedient". |
