On the day when Mother Mary Magdalene died I was in San Giovanni Rotondo (Italy), Dick Garrow, who knew her very well, sent me a message on the mobile: “Christina G. saw Mother go to Heaven in glory when she was in the Chapel. She wanted me to tell you”.
Later my friend Fr. G.M. told me that Christina G. saw again Mother Mary Magdalene, who said: “Now from Heaven I can help souls much more than I used to help them when I was on earth”.

I went to pay my last respects to Mother Mary Magdalene in the mortuary. Her body, lying in the coffin, smelt a most nice perfume of roses. To verify if this fine scent came from a natural source, I smelt the flowers in the room: but there was no odour on the flowers. It was the same fragrance I smelt near Padre Pio on other occasions and I understood that Mother Mary Magdalene was with him. My wife Paola and my friends, who were present, had the same experience. Some months later I dreamt of Mother Mary Magdalene, who told me to consecrate myself to Our Lady.

A young man was driving me home by car. Suddenly our vehicle, turning round the bend, crashed into the rails, went off the road and fell into a ditch, near a railway line. The car stopped upside-down against a tree. Unless it was prevented by this tree from reaching the line, it would have crashed into the train, due five minutes later. In the collision I knocked my head against the window and I fainted. The young man was unhurt, so he dragged me out of the car and the called the ambulance and my parents. When these arrived, they found our car completely destroyed, As my father saw me lying on the ground with closed eyes, he thought I was dead. My rescuers, after a check on the place of the accident, realised that some of my vertebrae must have been broken, therefore they put a collar on my neck to support it and brought me straight to hospital. I stayed there for four days. From a further check-up two vertebrae appeared to be broken. I was told I had to wear my collar for forty five days. The doctors said that if my vertebrae had been damaged more seriously only by an inch, I would be completely paralysed or dead. They called me a “miraculously healed person”. They told me I was joking as if I was one of them and I believe so.
I remember that before the accident I took into my hands the picture of Mother Mary Magdalene and I stared at her for a moment. I also remember I had a medal of Our Lady (called matrix medal) on my neck, hanging on a little string. When later my collar was removed, such a medal was found folded up in a leaf, on the area of my broken vertebrae, although all metal objects had been taken away from my body when I was in hospital and no medal appeared from the X-rays examination.
I felt that Our Lady and Mother Mary Magdalene (whom I knew personally) must have intervened to save my life. At the right moment of the accident I realised two hands were holding my head. Apart from my two broken vertebrae and some little scratches, I had no more injuries. Considering the dynamics of the accident and how the car was destroyed, I really believe I have been saved from death. .

A friend of mine, aged about forty, was working, when suddenly a lorry reversed and crashed him against the wall, damaging his body from the abdomen downward. Brought into hospital he was found in very serious conditions. The doctors said that the chances of surviving were only a few. He was moved to the intensive care unit in a state of coma. I went to see him and I left a picture of Mother Mary Magdalene on the little window of his room. The mother of the unlucky man, after seeing that picture, began to pray to Mother Mary Magdalene, although she did not know who she was. I joined her in prayer every evening. After a few days the young man went out of his coma and started to improve. He was moved from the intensive care unit to another ward, although he remained under observation. He started to have food and drinks, and from the check up it emerged he had no cerebral injury. Now he is in good conditions..

Michela had a tumor in her brain. The doctors said she could live only for three more months, therefore she was operated. On the night after her operation, I dreamt of Our Lady, Padre Pio and Mother Mary Magdalene: they stood near her bed smiling at her. We prayed very much. First Michela seemed to get worse, but later her conditions began gradually to improve. She had more therapies, while we went to the grave of Mother Mary Magdalene in San Giovanni Rotondo, where we left a picture of Michela. Since then on, she has been better and better. Now she can talk in Italian and even in English. She is now out of danger and has started her rehabilitation in hospital.

A pregnant black woman, who was expecting a little girl, had a fibroma in her womb. Her little girl, in her turn, had a deformity in the valve which lets blood go into the aorta, and a hole in her heart. The doctors of the Gemelli hospital, in Rome, said the little girl had not too much hope of surviving. Therefore I gave to her mother a picture of Mother Mary Magdalene and I said the Rosary for several days, in the evening, in a group of prayer. When the time came for the operation, the black lady brought the picture of Mother Mary Magdalene with her into the theatre. During the operation the baby was born, but she couldn’t breathe. The little girl was urgently moved from the Gemelli hospital to the Gesù Bambino hospital. Thanks to the new treatment, she began to breathe and she was successfully operated in her heart. I attribute this success to the intercession of Mother Mary Magdalene, whom we invoked.

I nursed Mother Mary Magdalene for a long time before her death. She told me many stories about her past life. She recalled in a special way episodes that happened when she was working in Liverpool hospital, where she saved a lot of babies from abortion, opposing the Consultant and the doctors. These appealed to the State laws, that allowed the abortion, but Mother Mary Magdalene (then called Mrs Margaret Mathers), answered that God’s law came first and she was afraid of God’s judgement rather than a human judgement. One day she reproached her Consultant and said: “Be careful, you will not escape divine justice”. A few days later, while he was working on the roof of his garage, he fell and injured his hand, by which he used to cause abortions. From that day he could practise no more his profession nor provoke abortions.

I attended the courses of Canon Law at the Angelicum University in Rome. I had to face a difficult exam but I did not feel prepared. I had the intention of postponing my exam, in order not to run the risk of cutting a bad figure. I asked for advice to Mother Mary Magdalene and she answered: “Go and have your exam. I will pray for you to Padre Pio. He will help you”. I blindly obeyed, trusting her words. I went and faced the exam, and I got top marks. I could’t believe it, it looked impossible. But I experienced the faith and the power of prayer of Mother Mary Magdalene.

I was on my bed in hospital. It was afternoon. In my room there was a natural light. I was speaking about the love of God to my neighbours. I lifted my eyes and I looked at the ceiling over my bed. I saw the face of Mother Mary Magdalene of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. It was the same picture as the one which is on the little leaflet that Father F. gave me and I keep among my papers. I use this leaflet when I invoke the intercession Mother Mary Magdalene for my necessities. At that moment the phone rang: it was Sr Pia. I couldn’t stop my immense joy and I spoke to her about what I saw. I invited people who were present to look at that figure. But they could see nothing and after a few minutes the face disappeared. Since that moment my health has been improving. After a few days I went home. I still have troubles, but nothing serious. If we offer them up to God, we’ll find joy.

I had to face a cataract operation on my right eye. I was received into hospital on Febr. 19, 2008. This date corresponds with the date of Mother Mary Magdalene’s death (which happened on May 19, 2007). I had her picture with me and asked Mother Mary Magdalene to stay close to my person at any time, and not abandon me. When I entered the theatre, I lay on the bed. The nurse told me to relax my shoulders and not get upset. I felt two hands holding my shoulders to protect me. Then I prayed and I felt Mother Mary Magdalene near me, and great peace. The operation was successful. The time ran quickly. I attribute this grace to Mother Mary Magdalene.
